Sniffs — Pet Community App
Connecting pet owners and providing tools to make care easier.
Challenge
The goal was to build an app for pet owners in Germany that brings local communities together and makes daily care easier. Many owners struggle to find suitable playmates for their dogs, access emergency support, or find reliable advice. The challenge was to design a simple, trustworthy platform that balanced practical tools with genuine community features.
Approach
I started with user research, interviewing dog owners and running surveys to understand what pet owners actually needed. Then I shaped the product around those insights:
- “Find a Dog Buddy” — connect with other dogs and their owners nearby.
- Built a simple, easy-to-use interface for everyday use, including finding local veterinarians and calling an emergency SOS.
- Combined social features with practical tools that help to guide dog owners in the city.
Solution
Sniffs was created as a community-first app built around the everyday lives of pet owners. With intuitive navigation, a warm visual identity, and features shaped by real needs, it makes it easy to find nearby dog buddies, get quick advice, and connect with fellow owners. The project balanced strong UX thinking with brand personality, resulting in an experience that feels approachable, useful, and genuinely built for its community.
