Loyalty program launch design.
Challenge
nu3 needed a loyalty program that felt genuinely rewarding — not just a points system, but an emotional reason to keep coming back. The challenge was to translate abstract benefits like earning points, saving money, and a sense of belonging into a visual identity that resonated with everyday shoppers.


Approach
I began with research and competitive benchmarking to understand what motivates nu3's customers. From those insights, I built the visual concept around the program tagline “Earn Points, Spread the Joy,” focusing on:
- Turning the program's core benefits — earning points, saving money, and spreading happiness — into a unified, joyful visual language.
- Crafting messaging that spoke to everyday motivations, not just transactional logic.
- Designing a flexible asset system that scaled across marketing, social media, and in-store communications.
Solution
The program launched on the smile.io platform, rolling out first in Austria before expanding into France and Italy. To maintain a consistent identity at every touchpoint, I built an icon library and a suite of modular graphic elements used across landing pages, email campaigns, and in-store materials. The result was a loyalty experience that felt genuinely rewarding — one that grew sales while deepening the emotional connection between customers and the nu3 brand.
